Lisa Goodwin-Allen appointed as culinary director at The Beaumont Hotel

Lisa Goodwin-Allen has been appointed as culinary director of Mayfair five-star hotel, The Beaumont.

Allen will work alongside executive chef Brendan Fyldes and chief executive Stuart Procter to deliver a luxury food offering across the entire hotel. This includes the launch of a new flagship restaurant, Rossi, which will undergo a complete renovation ahead of its opening in autumn 2025. As a pioneer of seasonal, sustainable and ingredient-led cooking, Allen will place British produce at the centre of Rossi’s menu.

Allen, Fyldes and Procter all grew up in Lancashire and have overlapped at various stages across their careers, including at Northcote and The Stafford London, making their reunion at The Beaumont an exciting collaboration. The Beaumont was originally built in the 1920s as a parking garage and later transformed into a hotel in 2014. It is now the property of Ellerman Hotel Company, owned by the Barclay family, who bought the leasehold in 2018.

Allen is best known for her long-standing role as executive chef at the Michelin-starred Northcote in Lancashire, which she will maintain alongside her new role at The Beaumont. She is widely recognised for her television appearances, including as a regular judge on Masterchef and a frequent guest on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

Having started as head chef at Northcote at just twenty-three, Allen mentors young chefs and offers an apprenticeship scheme at her restaurant. She champions the hospitality industry and supports organisations, like Hospitality Action. SquareMeal awarded Allen with the AYALA SquareMeal Female Chef of the Year Award in 2022, recognising her as a leading figure in the industry and an inspiration to the next generation of chefs.

After twenty-three years at Northcote and a hugely successful career, we look forward to seeing Allen in her new role at The Beaumont.
