London’s private dining rooms come in all shapes and sizes - cosy little nooks and crannies in buzzy bistros, cavernous halls and historic buildings, basement hangouts in bars and high rise rooms with panoramic views. They all have a place of course, but sometimes you need somewhere opulent, luxurious and delicious that you know will impress. Maybe you’re planning a welcome dinner for out of town colleagues or clients? Or you’re laying on a special celebration for family and friends? Either way, it pays to have a bank of reliable restaurants that you know will deliver on all fronts.
The capital’s Michelin-starred restaurants aren’t a bad place to start your search for a private dining room - Michelin isn’t the be-all and end-all of good and bad restaurants, but the guide does have a certain criteria when it comes to awarding Michelin stars that makes it a good place to look for the luxurious fine-dining. There are lots of Michelin-starred restaurants with private dining rooms in London and they all have a number of things in common - they provide a certain level of high quality, fine dining; they have well-appointed spaces for hire; and they deliver very generous, attentive service.
That said, there are lots of great restaurants all over London that provide a similar experience but haven’t yet been awarded a Michelin star. With that in mind, we’ve also pulled together a list of opulent private dining rooms that we think would also do the job if you’re looking for a lux experience. Combine faultless food and luxury private dining rooms at these Michelin-starred London restaurants.
