Nessa, Soho

The Drawing Room and Nessa dishes

What: Booking for a group of 20 guests? Tom Cenci’s neighbourhood restaurant Nessa more than delivers, with two beautifully appointed private spaces perfect for celebrating in style. Parties of up to 14 are welcome to dine in the main restaurant, but for something a little more exclusive, the first floor Drawing Room is available for up to 20 guests, with a magnificent Murano glass chandelier hanging above a central table. Or head up another floor to the Lexington & Marshall room and you’ll find a New York loft style space with exposed brick walls and art deco furnishings. Whichever you choose, you can expect smart, inventive cooking courtesy of Cenci, although do note that parties of nine or more are invited to dine from its feasting menu. No bad thing, we assure you.

Megan’s, Clapham

What: Host your bridal celebrations in Clapham’s beautiful Old Town with a private dining booking at Megan’s. Twinkling fairy lights and garden-inspired foliage transports guests to warmer climes the moment they walk through the door, and are followed up with a menu of Mediterranean sharing dishes and fabulous cocktails. Groups of eight are welcome to book a table in the main restaurant and peruse the group dining menu, while for larger celebrations, The Tree Room is jammed with wow-factor thanks to a huge fairy-lit olive tree decorated with hanging Turkish Eyes.

What: Are you and your pals searching for knockout drinks and somewhere for a boogie? Settle in for an evening of live music and vibrant cocktails at this glamorous restaurant and wine bar in Marylebone, which transforms into a seductive speakeasy once the sun goes down. There are multiple areas that can be hired for semi-private and private events, from the intimate VIP Square (6-8 guests) to its dedicated private dining space in the Upper Circle (30 seated guests). Wine is a major focus here, with an ever-rotating roster of 15 red and 15 white wines available by the glass, carafe or bottle. Food wise, the £60 set menu includes three courses of Mediterranean-inspired fare, such as burrata with onion purée, pickled shimeji mushrooms and smoked almonds.

Los Mochis, City

What: Japanese and Mexican cuisine are proven to be the best of friends at this fantastic fusion restaurant, which has been so successful since it opened in Notting Hill in 2021, that it opened this second, ginormous site in the City. You’ll find a dedicated private dining room, an elevated mezzanine area, and a sophisticated Agaveria and Lounge available for private bridal celebrations. Each offer their own distinct vibe: we’d opt for the alfresco terrace on its mezzanine for an outstanding summer soiree, or for a drinks-focused event, the Agaveria is home to one of the largest collections of tequilas and mezcals in Europe. A no-brainer, we think?

The Snug and the Orangery

What: From the light-filled Orangery on Boundary’s rooftop, to its cosy Snug area nestled just off the ground-floor brasserie, this East London hotel has spaces for all types of occasion - large or small, casual or formal! Head to the rooftop for parties of 45 (seated), or keep things low key in the Snug downstairs for 16 of your closest pals.

Private bookings also benefit from an in-house florist who’s on hand for everything from decorations to gifting, as well as a talented catering team in charge of creating seasonal, veg-forward dishes. Think roasted Jerusalem artichokes with smoked mayo and soft herbs, and Cornish mackerel with fennel salad, pickled cucumber and jalapeño jam.

What: Gather loved ones at one of London's hottest rooftops: Kitty Hawk in the heart of the West End. While full venue hire is likely to be too large for a bridal shower, it's possible to hire half the restaurant for up to 30 guests on a semi-private basis, where you'll benefit from warm lighting, plush furnishings and, of course, panoramic views of London's skyline. Its modern European menus are designed to impress, from a classic steak tartare to Monkfish with romesco sauce, while expertly-made cocktails include signatures, classics and a curated selection of rum-based drinks.

If you’re not fussed about sky-high or floral spots then this could be a statement-making spot for your shower with its central location that's steeped in history. What: If you’re looking for a private outdoor space for your bridal shower then look no further than Luca’s foliage-filled outdoor terrace. Take your event al fresco, for groups of up to 20, surrounded by olive trees and sunshine (British weather permitting). There are also a couple of indoor options for more intimate events of eight to ten people. Five- or six-course set menus are on the cards here, offering the very best of Italian cuisine from burrata to rigatoni to tiramisu.

What: It comes as no surprise that Bocconcino offers idyllic and stylish dining that will really set the tone of your upcoming celebrations. Both the Mayfair and Soho locations offer exclusive or semi-private options whether you’re wanting complete privacy or looking to be a part of the action. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, Bocconcino is ideal throughout the day with its buzzing atmosphere, live music and menus packed full of delightful Italian cuisine - you can’t really go wrong.

What: Arguably one of London's prettiest restaurants, the Florattica Rooftop at Canopy may have caught your attention of the years, but did you know that it also offers a couple of equally stunning private dining spots? Striking views, a central location and the kind of attentive service you'd expect from a group like Hilton, this space is sure to make your event even more memorable. It's perhaps not the place for smaller events with two dining room options that seat 60 and 120 respectively. But if you’re looking to get a large group together for a full blown celebration, then this could be the one for you.
