SquareMeal Review of Dog Eat Dog

With over half a dozen London bars already under its belt, Brewdog is branching out with this Islington bar-diner where gourmet hot dogs and cold craft beer share equal billing. The post-punk decor sets the scene for all-day dining on (£8-ish) dogs such as ‘voodoo’ black sausage with pineapple salsa, tandoori chicken frank, or a smashed avocado-based vegetarian option. You can also design your own dog, taking advantage of the numerous free and extra toppings offered. There’s even a menu for real pooches (venison brownies, Rover?). Finish with choc chip cookie and ice cream sandwich – sure to keep children happy, for whom there are junior dogs, shakes and sodas too. A dozen ales from Brewdog’s vast output might typically include Nanny State mild; Orange Blossom Wheat; and Dogma (infused with Scottish heather honey) – we can vouch for all three. Still thirsty? Dip into the list of 20-odd guest bottled beers.
