As a prelude to Valentine’s Day, 900 year-old Amberley Castle will play host to a romantic Valentine’s supper on 8 February. Lovebirds can enjoy timeless love songs performed by Michael Fields on
medieval harp, renaissance lute and baroque guitar, accompanied by his singer Ansy Boothroyd. If ‘music be the food of love’, then it is hard to imagine a more amorous setting than the castle’s
12th century Great Room in which to enjoy an evening of musical entertainment. The evening will kick off at 7pm with a Champagne and canapé reception, followed by a three-course dinner with treats
like seafood, strawberries and chocolate. Wines selected by the castle’s sommelier will also accompany the meal.
