Tuck into Malaysian delicacies this weekend

This weekend, until 23 September, Visit Malaysia is bringing the sights, sounds and tastes of Malaysia to London’s vibrant South Bank.

Pop down to the riverside to watch traditional native dancing and fashion parades and to see fascinating displays of Malaysian artefacts and manuscripts. Visitors will also be able to take part in arts and crafts demonstrations and traditional games.

What’s more, the event’s many pop-up stalls will be serving up the unique flavours of Malaysian cuisine, from chicken and lamb satay skewers with coconut-leaf-wrapped ketupat rice cakes, to traditional Malaysian flatbread roti canai (both pictured above). Watch roti canai being made at the festival.

Malaysian Cultural Week will take place from 10am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday; entry is free. What’s more, all visitors will have the chance to win return flights to Malaysia with Malaysia Airlines as part of a free prize draw.
