Top chefs join forces for Stars, Food and Art

This Thursday, top international chefs including Raymond Blanc will descend on The Balcon at Sofitel London St James for gourmet charity bash Stars, Food and Art, which promises a memorable evening of fine dining, wine and culture.

This will be the first time that Stars, Food and Art, which takes place every three months at different Sofitel hotels, will come to London. The event will see Blanc work alongside French chefs Christophe Muller (L’Auberge du Pont de Collonges) and Guy Krenzer (Lenôtre), and Australian chef Michael Moore (O Bar and Dining), to create four courses that will showcase each chef’s artistic flair and culinary prowess. What’s more, the behind-the-scenes action will be streamed live via strategically placed webcams, so that diners can see the meal being prepared.

Dishes will be unveiled on the night, but each chef will prepare one course, to be paired with wines that have been specially selected by Baron Philippe de Rothschild. After the dinner, diners can look forward to performances by musical-theatre star Shaun Rennie and singer-songwriter Amelia Cormack.

Stars, Food and Art was launched in 2007 and has previously been held at Sofitel hotels in Munich, Vienna and Amsterdam. The event will raise money for The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, which offers a 24-hour emergency service to those who live, work and travel in Australia, especially those in remote and rural communities.
