Anthony Demetre’s Mayfair restaurant, Wild Honey, is hosting a season of monthly cocktail masterclasses with resident expert Chris Cavaille. Held on Monday evenings, seven guests sit at a counter with Chris and learn of the history behind a particular spirit, with the chance to create and sample three cocktails, matched by Anthony’s snacks. Monday 12 September, 7-8pm: Gin, (featuring Brighton Gin) paired with a cucumber ketchup-doused squid and mackerel slider
Exact dates for the remainder of the season are to be confirmed, but the following will take place on a Monday each month:
October: Mescal, paired with brisket tacos
November: Exploring the Negroni, paired with Parma ham and arancini
December: Saké, paired with lacquered eel and Szechuan pepper
January: Australian whisky cocktails, paired with quail Scotch eggs
Wild Honey’s cocktail masterclasses will take place once a month on a Monday evening, from 7-8pm. Tickets cost £40 each and can be booked by calling the restaurant on 020 3589 1688.
