Taking place on 5 June, Thailand@Trafalgar Square is a celebration of Thai cuisine and culture in the surrounds of one of London’s most famous landmarks.
Free to attend and running from 12N-8pm, the mini festival is organised by the Royal Thai Embassy and will see top Thai restaurants, including Belgravia’s Mango Tree, serving a selection of spice-infused dishes against a backdrop of traditional and contemporary Thai dancing, as well
as Thai puppetry and Thai boxing.
Especially for the occasion, Mango Tree will offer a carefully chosen range of affordable dishes, courtesy of executive chef Mark Read. Dishes will include stir-fried noodles with tofu, sweet
turnip, shallots and kow choi in a sweet soy sauce (£5), green curry with aubergines and homemade fish balls served with steamed fragrant rice (£6), and glass noodle and chicken salad with chilli,
spring onion, Thai parsley, red onions and celery (£5).
