Take advantage of this opportunity to wine and dine with Miguel Merino, a Spanish winemaker, based in the heart of Rioja Alta on 12 July.
Merino's vineyards produce Tempranillo grapes among other varieties, and coupled with the chalky soil and a climate thriving from Atlantic influence, the wines develop qualities worth trying. This
winery is one of the smallest and youngest in the country.
Guests will be able to sample Merino's wines (see below), followed by a two-course dinner.
2007 Ochoa Mil, Gracias, Graciano, Navarra – Expect deep red fruits, chocolate and savouriness on the nose and palate.
2009 Ochoa, Moscatel, Navarra – Balanced and fresh. Grape and orange flavours, backed by sweet raisins.
2004 Miguel Gran Reserva – Fresh, intense, long and well balanced, with tobacco, liquorice and coffee on the palate.
Two additional wines will be confirmed.
Tickets are expected to sell quickly, so make sure to book early here.
