On Thursday 26 October, The Don is hosting a Sandeman port and wine dinner in the original Sandeman cellars. The evening will be hosted
by George Sandeman, a seventh generation descendent of the George Sandeman who founded the company in 1790, and one of the most charismatic and genial speakers of the wine trade.
Sandeman will be sharing some of the fascinating history of the company and introducing, in his own inimitable and highly entertaining style, the fine wines and ports of Sandeman, paired against a
specially created menu for the evening.
Ports and wines to be tasted include the Callabriga wines from the Douro, the award-winning Sandeman 20 Year Old Tawny, Sandeman Vau Vintage, and the 1955 vintage, all from the Sandeman private
The event starts at 7pm and costs £70 per head. Call The Don on 020 7626 2606 if you’d like to reserve a place.
