Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers will close his Restaurant Story on 31 March for a brief period while the venue undergoes refurbishment. Because he clearly doesn’t like sleeping much, Sellers will run a pop up during the interim called Merry Men.
The name references the merry men from Robin Hood and is a nod to Seller’s Nottingham-based upbringing, with the pop up incorporating elements of storytelling into its menu. Banquet-style dishes will include bone marrow with eel and parsley, smoked haddock in milk, beef cheeks in hay, and lardy cake with salted blackberries and ice cream.
The pop up will also host a guest chef every Wednesday, kicking off with Jason Atherton on 18 April, while a standalone bar will serve guests woodland-themed cocktails, alongside a smaller snack menu called ‘Pig Tales’.
Merry Men will open for dinner Wed-Sat and lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Tom Seller’s Merry Men pop up runs from 4-22 April. Tickets are priced at £60.27 per person for four courses and a drink. Tickets will be available from 19 February at this link.
