Lima is a melting pot of cultures, and its cuisine is all the richer for it. This summer, a series of pop-ups will bring the food of the Peruvian capital to London, ahead of the opening of Ceviche
restaurant in November.
Limanation’s menus will feature dishes influenced by aspects of the country’s cuisine, from Afro-Peruvian, to Japanese-Peruvian ‘Nikkei’, to New Andean, Criollo and Chinese-Peruvian ‘Chifa’.
The first Limanation pop-up will take place from 16-18 June at the Free Word Centre in Farringdon. Start the evening with a pisco sour, then tuck into a five-course meal featuring dishes such as
Peruvian chillies with spicy mayonnaise dip, sea-bass ceviche with sweet-potato crisp, sautéed beef with chillies, onions and tomatoes, and Guanaja chocolate sponge with glazed blackberries.
The meal (with aperitif) costs £25, excluding extra drinks. Bookings are now being taken for sittings at 6.30pm and 9pm.
