Over the Hop festival pays homage to hops

At the White Horse on Parsons Green, beer is their passion, pride and joy – and the owners have a stellar selection of English cask ales, stouts and more than 100 bottled brews on their drinks menu to prove it.

Following a recent refurbishment, the White Horse is back in business and eager to share the best of its beer list this spring at the second annual Over the Hop festival – a free local beer and food celebration.

Festival-goers can sample a fine selection of golden and pale ales, plus blonde beers and IPAs, all produced in microbreweries across the British Isles. You can even match your chosen tipple with on-site nibbles: there are suggestions for beer-pairing to accompany char-grilled treats ranging from cheeseburgers to a hog roast and barbecued meats (weather-permitting).

A whole weekend of adventurous sampling awaits – what’s more, festival-goers still upright on Saturday night can enjoy live folk-rock music from local band, The Stealers – all while having fun with friends and meeting the brains behind the brews.

The Over the Hop festival takes place from 22-24 March. For more details, visit the White Horse’s website.
