Looking for a way to celebrate Mother’s Day? Give mums the VIP treatment on Sunday 26 March at one of the following family-friendly venues.

Lanes at the Four Seasons is offering a four-course menu, including hot and sour lobster soup and grilled fillet of halibut with orange-Pimm’s risotto. The meal costs £62 per head and includes a complimentary colour consultation from image expert Anthea Yamey for all mums.

Have dim sum with mum at Spoon at Sanderson, which is offering a menu of soups, salads, pastas, fish, meat, and desserts, served in small portions for the table to share. Select three savoury dishes, one side dish, and one dessert for £50 per person.

Mother’s Day brunch at Hush features traditional Sunday roast rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes and a complimentary glass of wine for £19.50. Kids will be content with colouring books and a two-course menu for £10.

Give your celebration an exotic twist by booking brunch at Blue Elephant or La Porte des Indes. The sister restaurants are offering a £25 four-course brunch with half-price meals for all children aged 4-11 years. A traditional Thai musician will perform at Blue Elephant, while guests at La Porte des Indes will enjoy a live jazz band. Face painting is available for kids, and all mums will receive a surprise gift.

Elegant restaurant The Clerkenwell, is serving a special set menu for Mother’s Day. Start with confit tuna and niçoise salad with aged balsamic, follow with the likes of trio of fish and shellfish, mozzarella, pipérade and pine nuts, and choose from tempting desserts such as crème caramel with Seville oranges. Two courses cost £15.50, while three will set you back £19.50 per person.

After lunch at Asia de Cuba, all mums will receive a goody bag including vouchers for spa treatments at the Sanderson Hotel and home-made truffle chocolates.

Villandry will celebrate Mother’s Day with a £28 three-course brunch menu featuring the likes of cauliflower soup with pearl barley and gremolata, roast fillet of cod with herb-crusted mushroom, and vanilla pannacotta with blood orange compote. Kids can also bake and decorate Mother’s Day cookies and design cards at the Villandry bar on Saturday 25 March at 1pm.

Take Mother’s Day celebrations to new heights with lunch or brunch at OXO Tower Resturant and Brasserie. For £29.50 per person, the restaurant’s lunch menu offers dishes such as roast suckling pig with steamed apricot bread pudding, while the brunch menu in the brasserie features seared tuna with crispy coconut rice cake and Thai slaw. There's a special children’s menu, and afterwards why not head to nearby Tate Modern.

At Moti Mahal a £25 three-course set menu will spice up Mother’s Day with lamb patties filled with yoghurt, mint, and onion, pan-fried chicken stuffed with baby spinach and chestnuts, and to finish, strawberry and cumin sorbet with caramelised apples.

Going to a West-End matinee? Then head to Haymarket newcomer Dune afterwards, where the Mother’s Day three-course set menu includes a glass Champagne on arrival and costs £24.95 per person.

At Islington’s Morgan M there’s a £39 six-course tasting menu. A vegetarian option is also available, and for an extra £23 per person, the sommelier will match a glass of wines to each course.

Michelin-starred Mirabelle is sure to impress mum with its three-course Mother's Day lunch menu. Starter with vinaigrette of leeks and asparagus truffle, follow with Aberdeen Angus au poivre, and finish with dark chocolate fondant. The menu costs £45 per person.

After indulging your mum with a shopping trip to Harvey Nichols, head to The Fifth Floor restaurant for the Mother's Day menu, featuring a range of roasts at main.

Carluccio’s Caffés will celebrate Mother’s Day by giving each mother an edible dragée flower. Handmade in Naples, the flowers are crafted from candy-coated almonds.

Get the royal treatment with a four-course lunch at the Royal Garden hotel’s rooftop restaurant The Tenth. It costs £39.50 per person, and includes a special gift for mums.

Alternatively, take mum away for the weekend to Fredrick's Hotel and Spa for its 'Mother's Day Break' package. At £245 per person it includes one night's stay, a three-course à la carte dinner, and a bottle of Champagne. On Mothering Sunday itself, mums will be presented with a bouquet of flowers and will enjoy breakfast in bed before a treatment at the hotel's spa. The package is available on both Mother's Day weekend and the following weekend.
