Get a taste of the Deep South at Jambalaya

The vibrant personality and culture of New Orleans will come to London this April with The Jam Tree and Southern Comfort’s newest pop-up restaurant. With branches in Chelsea and Clapham, The Jam Tree will play host to the debut of Jambalaya, a restaurant concept that aims to meld the unique aspects of the Louisiana identity into an exciting new eatery.

Inspired by a cuisine that mixes French, Spanish, Italian, African, Native American, Cajun, Chinese and Cuban cuisine, Jambalaya offers dishes such as blackened Creole hanger steak, battered deep-fried catfish tails with slaw and hot sauce, three versions of the traditional Louisiana dish that is the restaurant’s namesake, and much more.

Aside from southern-style food, the restaurant will also offer classic New Orleans cocktails with a Jam Tree spin, from the Sazerac (a whiskey and bitters concoction), to the Hurricane, a cocktail that blends rum, grenadine and fruit juice.

Jambalaya will open from 16-28 April and promises to put a London spin on the jazz and funk traditions of New Orleans.
