Wahaca’s Thomasina Miers and Caravan’s Laura Harper-Hinton are on a mission to raise money to create an open-air classroom at the Ark Franklin Primary Academy, a school local to them in Kensal Rise – and you can help by eating loads of yummy food. Sound doable? Then head to the second Fork to Fork festival, held in the proposed open-air space itself, on 11 June.
At the festival, you’ll find 35 food stalls serving dishes from some of London’s most buzzing restaurants, including Quo Vadis, Bone Daddies, Rawduck, Polpo, Lyle’s, and more, with drinks from Camden Town Brewery and Bibendum Wines. Plus, family-friendly activities such as face-painting, craft workshops and a storytelling area will keep the kids entertained. Also look out for the luxury raffle. Last year, the festival raised £30,000 for the school. In short, it’s the school fête to end all school fêtes.
Fork to Fork takes place on 11 June from 12pm-6pm (food served 12.15pm-4pm). Tickets cost £8 in advance and £12 on the door, with all proceeds going to the founders’ charity project. To book, visit the festival’s ticketing page.
