Picture the scene. You're sat among friends in one of London's coolest bars. Suddenly, the whole room transforms, and you're sweeping past Northern Ireland's Giants Causeway, with atmospheric chanting filling your ears, while a hooded monk serves you a stunning cocktail direct from a miniature still. Welcome to the Theatre of Whisky.

Taking place once a month at hip Shoreditch cocktail bar Worship Street Whistling Shop, the Theatre of Whisky promises a multi-sensory drinking experience for whisky lovers.

A cross between going to a bar, going to the theatre and going to school – but without the textbooks – the Theatre of Whisky will introduce small groups of guests to the six most important aspects of Scotch and Irish whiskies. The journey starts in fifth-century Ireland, but by the end, you'll be looking over the Tokyo skyline, listening to house music, and drinking a very modern cocktail, which will demonstrate how much the spirit has changed.

As well as an introduction to whisky from whisky ambassador Colin Dunn, the two-hour event will see guests blending their very own whisky from a selection of miniature bottles from several regions, before sampling their concoction both neat and in a cocktail. The drinks experience will be complemented with expertly prepared nibbles that will bring the full flavours of each whisky to the fore.

Each Theatre of Whisky can welcome just nine people, so you can look forward to being part of an exclusive event in an intimate setting. So, book your tickets to this true taste experience and discover how the different expressions of this fabulous spirit can be brought to life.
