On Friday 14 October, The Lanesborough is hosting a special lunch matched with cigars, wines and Cognacs from around the world.
Guests will be treated to a Champagne reception with a selection of canapés, which will be followed by the specially created three-course menu. As the meal progresses, The Lanesborough’s Giuseppe
Ruo, a cigar connoisseur, will talk guests through each cigar and wine pairing.
Dishes on the menu include stuffed ballotine of foie gras with quince, balsamic jelly and espresso crumble, which will be paired with a 2006 Pieropan Passito della Rocca and a 48 La Flor de Cano
cigar. The meal will end with the chance to smoke a selection of Partagas cigars, paired with a single-vintage Cognac from 1975.
After the meal, the hotel will auction a special-edition cigar humidor containing 50 Partagas cigars, which has a reserve price of £4,000. All proceeds from the lot will go to charity.
The cigar-tasting lunch costs £475, including VAT and service. It will take place from 12.30-4.30pm and is open to 22 guests. For further information or reservations, please contact Hana Gilchrist, call 020 7333 7023 or visit www.lanesborough.com.
