Champagne and Spice

Until the end of July acclaimed Indian restaurant Veeraswamy is offering a special tasting menu matched with Krug Champagne. It is rare to find Champagne and spicy food pairings that work, but here the complex flavours of Krug and the multi-layered flavours of Veerswamy’s outstanding food result in some beautifully complementary matches.

Square Meal readers can enjoy the following menu at Veeraswamy. Tables of two will enjoy a bottle of Krug Grande Cuvée alongside, while tables of six will drink three Champagnes (Krug Grande Cuvée, Krug Rosé and Krug 1995) with their meal.

Two people – full menu with one bottle of Champagne, £110 per person.
Six or more diners – full menu with the three Champagnes, £135 per person.
