The Barbican has unveiled a new terrace where guests will be able to enjoy lakeside dining in the heart of the city. Designed by Searcy, the people behind the Champagne Bar at St Pancras, the menu is being overseen by head chef Quentin Fitch, and will be offering summer
dishes. Highlights include the merguez, chorizo or boerwors sausages served in artisan bread with rocket and extra virgin olive oil and a seafood platter that comes complete with prawns, salmon,
crab and shrimp.
The Barbican Lakeside is also offering a range of Champagnes that can be purchased from £7 a glass to £110 per bottle, as well as a creative selection of cocktails. Guests, who are able to invite
groups of up to 40 friends, will be able to enjoy drinks and food daily from 12N-8pm. Evenings are illuminated by candlelight, but an indoor bar area is nonetheless on standby to offer shelter from
the fickle British weather.
