Celebrate one year of Hoppers with a feast

Hoppers in Soho is toasting its first birthday on Sunday 6 November, with a day of traditional Sri Lankan feasting. 

Guests can expect to dine on off-menu specials including venison kothu roti, beef shortrib and parsnip rolls, and masala-fried mackerel. A Jaffna-style roasted lamb shank with rasa, coconut rice and pumpkin raita will be the main event, while a one-night-only reappearance of the restaurant’s watalappan (a spiced coconut dessert) will finish it all off. Drinks will be overseen by Ryan Chetiyawardana (the man behind Dandelyan), which will be all about the Ceylon Arrack and gin. 

The Hoppers birthday party takes place on Sunday 6 November, with two sittings at lunch (12 noon and 2.30pm) and two at dinner (5.30pm and 8pm). Tickets are priced at £39 and can be purchased at HoppersLondon.tocktix.com.
