If you love food, beer and Borough, you’re in luck this weekend. Running from Friday to Sunday, Borough Market is holding an event designed to demonstrate perfect food and beer pairings. There will be 17 stalls in all, each dedicated to a different match, ranging from Brindisa’s Spanish bites paired with Er Boqueron (made with sea water from the coast of Valencia), to French cheeses from Une Normande a Londres washed down with Belgian Duvel. In between sipping and scoffing, you’ll be able to take part in talks from industry figures, brewing and cocktail-making demos (with samples) and – if you prefer a guide to all that ale – food and beer safaris.
Ticket-holders will be treated to half a pint of Budvar Tankové Pivo unpasteurised (from the Czech Republic) and a 40-page booklet. Daytime sessions are from 12N-5pm on Saturday and 12N-6pm on Sunday, while the evening sessions are 6-10pm on Friday and Saturday.
Tickets start at £9 for one session, but we’re offering a 40% reader discount: just use the code SQUAREMEAL when booking any time before midnight on Thursday. Book your session here
