The Artichoke, in Buckinghamshire, is an award-winning restaurant that always ranks highly on Square Meal's annual Great Britain's Great Restaurants list. This summer, the restaurant is hosting a one-off event that will see top London chef Jason Atherton take to its stoves to cook a six-course tasting menu in aid of Drumbeats, a local charity that raises money for the Intensive Therapy Unit at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The evening will start with a Heidsieck Champagne and canapé reception, followed by the Michelin-level tasting menu developed by Atherton in collaboration with The Artichoke's award-winning kitchen team. Each dish will be accompanied by a matching fine wine. After the meal, a live auction of gourmet lots will raise more money for the event's cause.
This unique event takes place on Wednesday 10 June. Tickets cost £195, including all food and wine, plus a signed copy of Atherton's latest cookbook, Social Suppers.
