The Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) in London has announced the appointment of Andrew Saupe as executive chef. Saupe brings over two decades of experience and has worked with The HAC’s catering partner, Searcys since May 2023. As head chef, he’s already made significant enhancements to events catering at The HAC, developing and introducing innovative new menus with a focus on seasonality. This appointment marks a fresh chapter for the historic venue, promising to maintain its world-class dining experience and elevate it to new heights.

With a background that includes competing with Team GB at the Culinary Olympics and more than two decades with the armed forces in the Royal Logistics Corps, Saupe is well-equipped to lead the HAC's kitchen into an era of innovation. This distinctive expertise has shaped his approach to kitchen management and creative cooking, bringing military precision combined with a passion for sustainability to the role.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Saupe said, ‘My passion is creating dishes that are not only delicious but also showcase the best fresh and seasonal ingredients. We've already got an incredible team here, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together in 2025.’
The HAC's Director of Catering and Events, Sarah McQueen, shared her optimism about the appointment: ‘His creativity, leadership, and attention to detail have already elevated our dining offering, and we are thrilled to see him step into the role of Executive Chef.
