Trèsind London has been known for its elevated take on Indian cuisine since 2014 and now, its Mayfair restaurant offers guests a sleek, stylish experience across both the dining room and the Tryst Bar, where innovative cocktail recipes dazzle.
Trèsind London's location is second-to-none, positioned on Hanover Street in West London, it was chosen specifically for its elegant connotations which the team and founders were keen to emulate in the restaurant and bar's refined attitude, creativity and style.
Indeed, step inside and you'll no doubt be wowed by the sculptural interiors which see golden installations unfurl across the ceiling, a rich, dark colour palette, and modernist furniture choices from mid century-inspired seating to brass-finished table legs. The minimalist theme continues downstairs in Tryst, a subterranean cocktail bar which sits underneath the main dining room. The space has received much fanfare for its innovative mixology and unusual combinations. With just 30 seats, it has a speakeasy feel (which is also baked into the over-arching concept) and is the kind of place you'll want to bag a spot early doors.
If you're eating upstairs in Trèsind, you might dine on the classic tasting menu, which boasts dishes such as mushroom chai, king oyster mushroom and za'atar cannolo soup, alongside Tandoori tiger prawn kebab with buttered asparagus and hollandaise espuma, with mains like traditional butter chicken or Alleppey fish curry.
Afterwards, head down to the bar for a drink and try unique signatures, each with its own story. The Salcete, for example, brings together lacto-fermented guava and passion fruit for a tropical backbone, balanced by the richness of Don Julio 1942, and finally a touch of chilli and pink pepper. While, the Konkan is inspired by the Konkan coast, mixing tart kokum, toasted coconut, Chopin vodka, chaat masala, apricot and fino sherry for a refreshing, crisp and vibrant finish.
