Call The Hunworth Bell to make a booking on:
The Hunny Bell is one of the new breed of food-focused pubs that are springing up outside better-known hot spots such as Burnham Market and Cley-next-the-Sea. This characterful 18th-century hostelry stands idyllically on the village green and has earned a good local reputation for its honest cooking and cheery ambience. At lunchtime, walkers, cyclists, holidaymakers and villagers come here to drink Norfolk-brewed ales and tuck into proper ploughman’s or doorstop sandwiches (Norfolk Dapple cheese, honey-roast ham etc). In the evening, the kitchen moves up a gear with dressed Cromer crab, lemon chilli chicken with char-grilled asparagus, lasagne, seared rib-eye of free-range pork with savoy cabbage and wholesome puds such as local rhubarb and custard tart, to go with some well-chosen wines. Don’t miss the delightful beer garden in summer.
