We’re a Turkish family run seafood restaurant and Meyhane (Raki bar - loosely translated) Established in 1990 by a man known as Yusuf Bey and then taken over by Cihan Bey,
our father in 1996.
Sariyer, Turkey is popular for its culinary seafood culture where the locals share their love for dining beside the sea and enjoying the freshly grilled fish dishes with a bottle of raki and bucket of ice on the side. It’s also the birthplace of our restaurants original founder. Like the locals of Sariyer all who dine with us also share their love for the culinary delights cooked up by our talented chefs and have been doing so for the past three decades.
The Sariyer Balik brand is deep-rooted within the Newington Green community and is also considered to be a place where one dines within a frozen setting of nostalgia, depicted as a cross between a fisherman’s cave of wonders and a Turkish Meyhane from the late 70’s and mid 80’s era.
