About Craft Kitchen
Newtons Restaurant in Abbeville Road has undergone a transformation and its new guise should appeal to a younger, cooler crowd. It’s a family-run enterprise, and the ethos seems to be to serve people what they really want to eat, at a price they can afford, making a great alternative to eating at home. Kick off with aubergine fritters or honey and garlic chicken wings, move on to wild boar ravioli with caramelized apple, a rib-eye steak or one of their homemade burgers (chicken with chorizo and jalapeño is recommended) and wash it down with a selection of craft beers or wine from the barrel. It’s not particularly sophisticated, but it’s not expensive either, and as a local’s local, it’s surely worth a try.
