SquareMeal Review of
Mango Tree Harrods
Swanky Thai specialist Mango Tree is already known to the Knightsbridge smart set from its restaurant on Grosvenor Place, but it also has an all-day pitch in Harrods Food Hall (on the ground floor of the store). As before, the kitchen melds Thai classics with crossovers and eclectic specials inspired by the
Far East and beyond. A fascinating range of dim sum runs from Szechuan-style chicken dumplings and spare ribs to steamed Alaskan king crab with egg custard, but the menu also offers bigger plates
of fried sea bass with mango salad, Thai green curry with Wagyu beef and grilled duck with sweet-and-sour tamarind sauce – plus tom yum soup, BBQ roast pork and various mixed platters for sharing.
Drink jasmine tea and Tiger beer or splash out on one of the seriously marked-up wines.
