Test Kicthen Tuesday was really meant to be experimental...

by   gold reviewer (41)

Jun 2016

Editor's pick Craft, Greenwich – Craft made an impression on some of us either by recommendation or, more recently, having watched Masterchef UK 2016. For whatever reason it was, when they launched Test Kitchen Tuesday, we thought it might be the best time to try. Test Kitchen Tuesday is a promotion that runs on every Tuesday from now until the end of the year which consist of a five course meal for £28.00. Bookings available only after 20:00 hours. We were first elevated to the bar for drinks. The circular...

Trading off quality and innovation?

by   platinum reviewer (97)

May 2016

Our first visit at a fairly quiet lunchtime yesterday, quiet to the point that the restaurant doesn't actually open till 1. A few words first about locality and ambiance. North Greenwich has a bit of a desolate air; its a transport hub that probably wakes up mainly when there's something on at the nearby O2. The restaurant itself if the top floor of a glass cylinder and doesn't frankly give the impression of somewhere you're about to spend notable over £100 on lunch for...

Handy for the O2

by   platinum reviewer (85)

Jul 2015

Editor's pick Just walk from the tube station towards the O2 dome and there it is - a restaurant on the first floor, and bar on the second. It's modern and airy, spacious and comfortable. There is an effort to provide home made, local and sustainable produce which is to be admired. We had a very good evening there with family, it's light enough to see the menu and what you are eating, and buzzy but not so loud you can't converse. This is all fine and some of the food was excellent, but it just...

Dancing In High Heels :: Dancing In High Heels: CRAFT LONDON, NORTH GREENWICH

After a painful hour and a half taxi journey, mostly due to rush hour traffic, we finally made it to Craft London in Greenwich.
Craft London is a project by Stevie Parle and Tom Dixon, which features a New British restaurant, café, cocktail bar and shop.
There are a few menu options for you to choose from: a la carte menu, 6 course menu, set lunch and a 60 minute menu if you are looking for something quick before a show at The 02.
The food is almost exclusively based on fresh British produce with many of their products made in-house such as cured meats, honey, and butter...

Samphire and Salsify :: Craft London, Greenwich Peninsular  | Samphire and Salsify

We got well and truly lost trying to find Craft London as I had no idea where exactly the Greenwich Peninsular was. This new restaurant from Stevie Parle, who’s the man behind Rotorino and The Dock Kitchen, is in fact slap bang next to the O2 Arena. It’s not an area particularly known for its food offerings, unless you like a good Harvester that is.

Location aside, it’s a pretty little spot designed by Tom Dixon no less, so it’s all very well thought out. And there’s a view of the O2 Arena from your table. 👍...
