If you’re searching for somewhere unique to host a group of colleagues, family or friends in London, take a peep at Stem + Stem on Bow Lane. This beautiful venue is an amalgamation of a wine bar and a florist, and first opened its doors back in 2023.

Dee’s floral designs are inspired by her love of nature, and she uses an as it grows approach to her work, whilst Michelin trained head chef Ed is passionate about taking the ordinary from everyday life and making it something special with the best seasonal ingredients and produce. If you choose a private dining experience at Stem + Stem you will enjoy a stress free experience – because the team will take care of the food, the wine, and you guessed it, the flowers.

Whilst the menu changes depending on what's best available, and Ed and his team will always work with you to create something special for your event, the menu gives you a great idea of the delicious dishes that await you and your guests. As you toast to a wonderful evening ahead you can enjoy some Carlingford No. 3 oysters or dressed options with smoked oil, Arenka caviar, trout roe and dill.

For the table you can order some warm London sourdough with cultured Suffolk butter, along with sea bream tartare with smoked eel emulsion, oyster leaf and trout roe, or the leek and red Leicester cheese croquettes with smoked mayo and chive. Small plates include the British heritage tomato salad with sourdough, chilled tomato water and camomile and the cured Cornish gurnard carpaccio with cucumber, chilli, elderflower and nasturtiums. Dee Reid

Owner and Florist

Over the past ten years, Dee Reid has transformed a passion for floristry into a thriving career. Founded in 2023, Stem+Stem offers a 360-degree private dining experience with a dynamic menu complimented by Dee’s joyful floral arrangements. After spending 15 years in the buying departments of top fashion brands, she’s passionate about sourcing British florals, only leaning on European suppliers out of season.

Ed Boarland

Executive Chef and Owner

Ed Boarland is known for his dynamic menus that regularly evolve and always celebrate natural flavour. Beginning his journey at The Roux Family’s Waterside Inn, relocated to France to train under Gordon Ramsay at The Trianon Palace. After advancing to sous chef for Simone Zanoni he then became head chef at Cabotte in London. In 2023, armed with 15 years of Michelin-starred training he co-founded Stem+Stem.
