A quick guide to wedding hire pricing
There are generally four different costs you'll encounter when it comes to hiring a wedding venue: a hire fee, minimum spend, deposit and service charge. Find an at-a-glance explanation of each one below.
Hire fee - The fixed cost to rent the venue for your wedding. This usually covers exclusive use of the space for a set period and may include basic furniture or setup.
Minimum spend - The minimum amount you are required to spend with the venue, typically on food and drinks. If your total spend is less than this amount, you’ll still be charged the difference.
Deposit - An upfront payment made to secure your wedding date. This is often non-refundable and is usually deducted from your final balance.
Service charge - A percentage added to your final bill to cover staffing, coordination, and operational costs during your event.
