Since 2016, The Vurger Co. has been innovating a larger selection of vegan foods and making them available to the masses, developing a chain of restaurants across the UK. The Brighton branch sits in a great spot, right in the heart of the buzzing Lanes and surrounded by independent eateries, small cafes, bustling pubs and some other vegan offerings, too. From here, you can walk to both the station and the beach in around 10 minutes, so it’s a perfect place to meet friends. Inside, The Vurger Co.'s signature branding can be seen around the space with playful pink neon lighting, minimalist white tiling and cool, black booths. It’s an open, airy space with an informal feel that matches the menu. Food wise, the vibe here is indulgent, messy, fast food-style burgers and milkshakes that you can dive straight into - so come hungry.
There’s loads of choice with 10 different burgers to choose from spanning the Crispy Chicken Burger with a vegan chicken patty, house-made ranch sauce, crispy onions and gherkins; the Auburger with an aubergine, tempeh, chickpea, and chipotle patty, topped with vegan cheese, caramelised red onions, gherkins and house-made chipotle mayo; and even a Brunch Vurger with a sausage style 'pork' patty, vegan smoked gouda, crispy LaVie bacon rashers, a giant hash brown and house-made baconnaise. To your ‘vurger’, add the likes of skin-on fries, tator tots or mac 'n' cheese, and after one look at the brand’s Instagram, you won’t be able to resist a milkshake either.
Piled high with cream and loaded with sauce, The Vurger Co.’s milkshakes are something to behold and come in a range of flavours including Jammie Dodger, Banoffee, Biscoff, Chocolate Hazelnut and Strawberry. There’s no need to reserve a seat, you can wander straight in or even order ahead online.
