Replacing the long-standing Asia de Cuba, which closed in March 2019, St Martins Lane Kitchen is a temporary concept which is popping up at St Martins Lane hotel until further notice.
Serving a fun pan-Asian menu, St Martins Lane Kitchen turns out the likes of Cambodian fish with turmeric, lemongrass, coconut and jasmine rice, and Kampot pepper chicken with baby corn, carrot, asparagus and long beans. On the side, you can enjoy a selection of noodles, rice and vegetables, including blue swimmer crab fried rice, and ‘Wok Asian Greens’ consisting of morning glory, bok choy and long beans.
Indulgent desserts see the likes of kaffir lime flan with egg custard, coconut and lime, and a banana and chocolate cake topped with Chantilly cream and passion fruit. Weekend visitors can enjoy a brunch featuring bottomless Prosecco, Mimosas or Bloody Marys, with dishes ranging from the savoury (egg with halloumi and avocado) to the sweet (pancakes topped with maple syrup and crispy bacon).
Considering its close proximity to Theatreland, you can also count on good-value pre- and post-theatre dining, with two- and three-course set menus available.
