went with my family at weekend, no offers what so ever, even though they advertise on there website, we did ask, but waiter had no clue. we ordered two childrens menus, which at first we though were good value for £5, but i guess you get what u pay for, my daughter had garlic bread well if u can call 2 bits of stale slices of chibatta, , even i had trouble biting though it! my wife and i had pasta dishes for mains at nearly £10 each, well my daughter had a cabonara for her main from the childs menu, i was furious when my wife and i cam up as the same size, i complained to waiter, he shrugged his shoulders! total and utter rubbish, it tasted ok, but that is not the point, i dont like being ripped off! and that is what this place is! profit margin comes first! will never go again. the problem with a lot of these big chains is…they dont care! but the thing is neither do i. plenty of other restaurants out there, like my local italian which is 30% cheaper and twice as good.

Having dined on a number of occasions at Spaghetti House, I was expecting good food again when I ate there a few days ago. However I left feeling extremely disappointed, and unlikely to return in the future. I ordered the seafood risotto, a personal favourite which I have enjoyed many times at other restaurants. I knew how it should taste. And it tasted nothing like it. Instead of a light, creamy risotto, there was a watery risotto surrounded by a thin tomato sauce. At least that's what I thought it was – but after a few tastes, realised that it tasted a lot like (and probably was) tinned tomato soup. The service was good, and the waiter offered to exchange it for me when I told him what was wrong. I swapped for a mushroom risotto, hoping for an improvement. No tomato soup, but still far from the standard of food I was used to at Spaghetti House. All in all, a let down. Other Italian restaurants (for example Strada, Carluccios) do much better food for a similar, or even better, price.
