TO OPEN IN NOVEMEBER 2021
There are plenty of restaurants in London that specialise in fresh fish and seafood, and Seasons is one of them. Most of its sites, which can be found all over West London, are Mediterranean-style bistrots that offer a relaxed style of dining in smart yet rustic surrounds. Head over to Chelsea, Bayswater, Kensington, Notting Hill or Fitzrovia to see what we mean.
Seasons’ flagship site in Mayfair, however, is a step above its sister sites. Featuring a stunning fish display in the centre of the restaurant for diners to gawk at while they eat, this elegant restaurant is a more formal dining affair – it's actually called a restaurant for one, unlike the other specifically-named bistrots. Located just off Bruton Street, the central Mayfair spot serves an extensive array of fresh fish and seafood along with a handful of vegetarian and vegan options.
Start the feast with a dish from the raw fish bar: try Sicilian red prawn carpaccio, spicy amberjack tartare or torched carabineros with caviar. Starters feature smoked eel with apple remoulade for those who are feeling adventurous, or deep-fried squid, a mussel and clam pot and a selection of sharing plates for those who aren’t.
Mains courses include lobster (grilled or in a salad), fish on the bone (from the display), Seasons’ signature fish soup and mixed grilled shellfish with chilli jam. If you’re after a meal that’s a little more carb-heavy, browse the pizza, pasta and risotto sections of the menu for black truffle pizza, squid ink tonnarelli with clams, seabass and bottarga and Amalfi-style paccheri with octopus.
Seasons takes great pride in its commitment to sustainability and seasonality, sourcing its fish, seafood, vegetables and dairy from local suppliers. The restaurant group also changes its menu throughout the year to match what’s in season.
