Alongside stablemates The Café, Domino and Ten Room, Hotel Café Royal has an all-day dining option in the form of Papillon. The intimate 38-cover space celebrates Europe’s café culture with a menu peppered with British and French influences. There’s a dining counter displaying freshly baked bread, artisanal cheeses and pâtisserie treats. Breakfast highlights include Ibérico ham eggs Benedict, while lunch dishes see broccoli and Roquefort quiche, or quinoa, beetroot and chia seed salad. Dinner is sorted via the likes of fish pie and confit duck, and British desserts include Eton mess and peach Melba. To accompany the food, there are glasses of Laurent-Perrier Champagne and refreshing cocktails such as the Papillon Spritz. Coffee and pastries are also available.
