As summer comes around, Londoners flock to any and every outdoor space they can find to soak up the sunshine, before it disappears for the rest of the year. Two popular destinations that are getting in on the alfresco action are Blixen in Spitalfields and South Place Hotel in the City, which have teamed up with vermouth brand Martini to create two fun new outdoor spaces.
Opened on 15 June, Martini has teamed up with European brasserie Blixen and Michelin-starred Angler at South Place Hotel to create two beautiful outdoor terraces, which are perfect for some summer socialising. The outdoor space at Blixen serves a range of aperitivo, alongside nibbles and other drinks. Serves on offer include classic cocktails as a nod to Martini’s Italian heritage. Drinks available include the Martini Negroni (Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino, Martini bitter, Bombay Sapphire gin, orange wedge) and the Sbagliato (Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato, Martini bitter, Prosecco). Food is covered by snacks of Italian cicchetti.
Meanwhile, Angler's rooftop terrace has also undergone an Italian makeover for summer. Its pop up bar will serve a limited-edition Negroni menu, featuring five new cocktails including the Southern Negroni, blending Martini Rubino, Martini Bitter and gin. Peckish guests can pick from a selection of bar snacks, such as truffle and pecorino nuts, and Sicilian arancini stuffed with bolognese sauce, aged Parmesan and summer truffle mayonnaise – so what are you waiting for?
