Every year, the nation awaits the launch of Greggs’ Festive Bakes with hungry anticipation. The good news is that the much-loved savoury treat has returned again for 2024. Everyone can go and breathe a sigh of relief.
The classic signature bake is an indulgent creation filled with chicken breast pieces, sage and onion stuffing, Sweetcure bacon and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce, all wrapped in a warm pastry shell topped with a smattering of breadcrumbs. Who wouldn’t be excited for that?

But the real question is: when will the Festive Bake be available to buy in stores? Fans of the annual treat don't have long to wait. Greggs announced on X (Twitter) that its Festive Bake will land in UK shops from Thursday 9 November 2023.
The post read: 'BAKING NEWS. The Festive Bake lands 09/11/23.' The caption was posted alongside a video which showed the Festive Bake being revealed in a spectacular drone show.
The video showed a brigade of fluorescent drones creating different Greggs items in the sky. Alongside the Festive Bake, the display also depicted an iced doughnut, a sausage roll and a rocket, before finally showing the words: 'The Festive Bake is back. Bag some joy. 09/11/2023.'
What else is on Greggs' Christmas menu?
Aside from its famous Festive Bakes, the North-East based bakery has introduced plenty of new Christmas treats to the range. Vegan eaters will be pleased to hear that it's launched a Spicy Vegetable Curry Bake filled with mixed veg, chickpeas and rice, all brought together in a curry sauce.
While on the sandwich front, Greggs has introduced a brand-new Christmas Lunch Baguette filled with chicken, sage and onion stuffing, onion gravy, bacon, cheese and a cranberry and onion relish. Returning again for another year is its warming Christmas Lunch Soup and the Vegan Festive Baguette.

Of course, a Christmas menu wouldn’t be complete without a line-up of delicious hot drinks. Expect lots of festive tipples from last year, including a Mint Mocha, Mint Hot Chocolate and a Salted Caramel Latte. They’re all delightfully indulgent and are served with cream and festive sprinkles. While new sweet treats include an Orange Hot Chocolate and Orange Mocha - we can't wait to get our hands on one of those!
