Nothing signals the start of the festive season more than Starbucks’ smooth transition from pumpkin-spiced latte (to which we must wave, sadly, goodbye) to hot drinks flavoured with cinnamon, gingerbread and eggnog. There is a strong collection of limited-edition lattes to choose from this year including a brand new gingerbread number. Ah, the thrill! But don’t panic, because plenty of the stores' signature lattes are still available to buy this season so you don’t have to miss out on your favourite festive pick-me-up.

If coffee isn’t really your thing, then stay tuned for Starbucks’ range of indulgent hot chocolates designed to warm your cockles and line your arteries – yes, they’re fabulously rich and worth every sip. Topped with whipped cream and a selection of dreamy sauces and sprinkles, you might want to leave a bit of extra room for one of the chocolatey hot drinks.

Starbucks Red Cups 2024

Starbucks’ famous red cups are expected to be back with a bang this season. The coffee giant's red cups appear every holiday season, usually with a brand new design each year. This year's red cup designs have been announced in the US, and we expect you'll see the same cups on this side of the pond! Designed by Bridget Shilling, Starbucks 2024 red cups feel joyful and festive, resulting in a range that plays on festive green and red in a variety of designs.

Party Plaid

What: Designed to imitate a plaid scarf, Shilling modernises the design further with some modern, geometric sensibilities.

Peppermint Swirl

What: A special cup for the returning Peppermint Mocha, this design incorporates a lot of movement, as well as 2024's familiar Starbucks Christmas colours of red, green and pink.

Ribbon Spool

What: Red, green and pink ribbons wind their way around this special cup - another ode to Christmas wrapping and the gifts within.

Bauble Wrap

What: This bold print plays off geometric shapes, designed to look like a wrapped gift.

Frosted Bauble

What: A special frosty bauble for anyone ordering iced drinks, like Starbucks' new Iced Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai, for example.
