Davina McCall took to Instagram to describe the ‘terrible service’ she experienced at Australian chain Karen’s Diner in Manchester.
The American-style diner has garnered a legion of fans for its rude waiters and unpleasant service, despite only arriving in the UK last year.
The Masked Singer judge and fitness enthusiast travelled the 520-mile round trip from Tunbridge Wells to Manchester to experience the insulting level of service it’s become known for.
Upon arrival, one of Davina’s friends was singled out and sworn at for being a vegetarian. A member of front-of-house staff asked: ‘Who’s a vegetarian? You - step forward’.
She then shouted: ‘Everyone, we’ve got a vegetarian in the building’, encouraging everyone to boo and make rude hand gestures.
In another clip, the Big Brother star asked a waitress if they offer Coke Zero, who replied: ‘You’ve literally got a menu on the table haven’t you, you stupid b***h’.
McCall can clearly be seen wearing a hat with the word ‘MILF’ scrawled on the front, while another member of the group wears one saying ‘Tory’.
Clearly enjoying the whole experience, the television personality, who travelled to the restaurant with boyfriend Michael Douglas and a group of friends, can be heard laughing in the background.
She wrote on Instagram: 'We made a pilgrimage from Tunbridge wells to Manchester and back in a day to go to the almighty @karensdinerofficial. Amber took terrible care of us, she was totally hilarious. Our greeting by front of house was brilliant. It was so so so funny. [The] tag line to Karen’s diner is great food terrible service… it HAS to be experienced… highlights include Harriet getting her veggie burger with a flag on a cocktail stick in it... and it said w*nker. It was worth the journey'
