Encore is a subterranean listening bar tucked beneath French-Lebanese rotisserie restaurant Toum in Mayfair, serving bold cocktails, snacks and vinyl-spun beats in a space designed for sonic pleasure.
The vibe is retro cool: Arabic disco, Habibi funk, French Nouvelle Vague and Bossa Nova hum through a pair of refurbished 80s Tannoy Little Gold Monitor speakers, powered by an Icon valve amplifier for rich, warm sound. The acoustically tuned room - complete with wooden panelling, carpeted floors and an echo-absorbing ceiling - is a haven for audiophiles and cocktail lovers alike.
Drinks come courtesy of award-winning mixologist Jad Ballout, whose menu is packed with inventive flavour combinations. Highlights include the Open Sesame (Bulleit Bourbon, sesame, honey, smoke), the Artichoke Sour (Bombay gin, artichoke amaro, Topinambur, lemon), and the indulgent Foret Noire - a Cognac-washed butter cocktail with raspberry and Nutella foam, served with a spoon. Encore’s house beer, Noam, is a natural, unfiltered lager brewed for easy sipping.
Bar snacks are equally elevated. Think cheese madeleines with sour cream and optional Petrossian Oscietra caviar, steak tartare with brioche and pommes allumettes, and buttermilk fried chicken with the option to add caviar for extra decadence.
With Toum already established as one of London’s top rotisserie spots, Encore brings a new layer of sophistication and fun to the experience. Whether you're dropping in for a cocktail and a snack or settling in for a full evening of music and mood, Encore is fast becoming one of Mayfair’s most exciting new destinations.
