The single ingredient trend shows no sign of abating and this Covent Garden restaurant follows suit with total dedication to the humble chip. But it’s not just a chip. These are triple-cooked and come skinny, skin-on, gastro, flavoured, topped or in a butty. Founder Tiffany Plant got her inspiration from around the world and claims to have a chip to satisfy every palette. With imaginative flavour combinations including truffle and Parmesan, rosemary and garlic or naked and Guinness-battered, her claim stands on solid ground. Other options include fries topped with steak and stilton, chilli con carne with sour cream or a Greek option with feta, oregano and lemon. A slightly healthier option offers a medley of parsnip, carrot and courgette fries, while the sweet-toothed can get their fill with cinnamon sweet potato fries.
