A work outing last night led us to BRGR.CO. Never heard of this place before but a good find I would say. Located on Dean Street in Soho we stumbled inside after a few drinks and I was starting to drool. The smell of the patty was intoxicating. Surprisingly the place was quite empty as we walked in, everywhere else in Soho was packed. Four grown men sat down, four grown men were hungry yet eager for more alcohol too.Order of drinks were placed and onto the menu. Burgers were key but quite limited. I guess straight to the point then. The three of us went for the Butchers Cut. This was a 6oz patty which was...

Onion rings. Do they have a place in a burger?I thought they were a great idea in the beginning. But having had a handful from a variety of restaurants, I’m not so sure now. They lose their crunch and even worse, turn into a soft mess. Gimmicky? Perhaps. While other burger restaurants are looking for the next weird combination, Brgr.Co focus on the most important ingredient of a burger – the patty.Brgr.Co’s menu is peppered with phrases such as ‘a culinary work of art containing delectable cuts of beef‘ and ‘meat lovers dream‘ – am I dreaming? Safe to say Brgr.Co are particularly proud...

It’s fairly obvious to anyone with eyes that there’s no shortage of burger joints around town, particularly in areas like Soho where the concentration of eateries is congested to say the least. I’ll be honest and admit I would never order a burger on a mixed menu, mainly as I’ve had so many that are rubbish, one in particular springs to mind, from a stand at the fireworks display in Brockwell Park last year. Dry, overdone patty, bland, not-so-fresh bread and that’s all there was to it. I know trading to thousands out of a box in a park when it’s 2 degrees constitutes extenuating circumstances, but plenty of others...

Slay the dragon of deep carnal cravings and celebrate St George’s Day throughout April with BRGR.CO’s limited offer St George cheeseburger – a blade steak patty topped with a Cheddar and a Red Leicester cross and served with a side of sweet, sticky caramelised onions and a portion of fries for only &10 (or upgrade to hanger steak for an extra &2 – I did).Back in 2012, soon after BRGR.CO had launched I went round to review and was not aimpressed with what was on offer. I thought the offering was bland. But everybody deserves a second chance. Plus, a lot can change over the course of a few years. So I’m pleased...

National foodie days are the bomb. They provide the best guilt free excuse to eat/drink as much of whatever we are celebrating for the next 24 hours. Prosecco day? Quick grab a bottle. World Nutella Day? Well it would be rude not to. National Cupcake Week?! I’ve always said a cupcake a day keeps the stress levels at bay.Anyway, today marks a joyous occasion. Its National Burger Day everybody! To join in the celebration, I was invited down to BRGR in Soho for an exclusive chance to sample their latest creation… I know right, #lovelife.Meet Mr Hyde.
