About

A classic pub nestled away in the heart of Fitzrovia, Lore of the Land is serving up the old with the new and providing the perfect backdrop for your next private dining experience. You can expect a cosy and lively evening with different options spread out across three floors.

Book a table in the downstairs bar with traditional decor, wooden tables and chairs and even chalkboards decorating the walls complete with scrawled specials. A bright and cheerful dining area during the day, thanks to a glass ceiling that adds a certain brightness to the room, and a cosy and intimate evening spot perfect for your next group dinner. But don't let the decor deceive you. The pub may give off that classic vibe but the food menu offers up a much wider selection of options for all the group.

Offering a set menu that is full of fresh ingredients and cooked over charcoal and embers, guests will enjoy a starter, small plate, main meal as well as sides and desserts for a fixed price. Tuck into homemade Focaccia, aged beef tartare with pickled shallots or grilled pork loin with plum chutney. End the night with the lore doughnut served with salted caramel and caramelised white chocolate or the cardamom panna cotta with sour British red currant and a ginger nut crumb. It’s the perfect option for the foodies looking for a more relaxed dining experience.

There’s also the option to book out the classically decorated Rhed Room, hidden away on the top floor; it can seat up to 24 guests for dinner or up to 30 for drinks. It’s a versatile room for those looking for a more secluded dinner and comes with its own bar fully decked out with a selection of spirits, wines and craft beers - including some of its own, straight from the Gritchie brewery!

Located on the first floor of the Lore of the Land owned by British film director Guy Ritchie in London's popular Fitzrovia, the Restaurant room, is the ideal venue to host a celebration. The restaurant we use on occasion to host larger party sizes, so for groups of 30 plus, we tend to close off our Restaurant. These bookings have to be organised in advance as we tend to get many regular table bookings, which we have to prioritise.

Dinner reviewNOVEMBER, 2023

Was sat at the chefs counter which was amazing. The food was great and the new head chef Michal is very talented and controls his talented team with grace and professionalism. The pork loin and oysters are a must have, my girlfriend loved the sides especially the truffle mayo with the crispy potatoes. Nothing else to say but you can’t go wrong here.
