Private dining at Mareida offers a sophisticated and contemporary setting in the heart of Fitzrovia, ideal for intimate celebrations, business dinners, birthdays or special occasions. This modern Chilean restaurant combines thoughtful design with refined South American cooking, providing a memorable backdrop for group dining in Central London.
The dining space is atmospheric and elegant with industrial ceilings, low lighting, wooden tables and an open kitchen that brings a sense of theatre to every event. At its centre sits Mareida’s striking rock library, a sculptural installation made from 48 hand-picked stones sourced from a Chilean mine. Designed by Macarena Aguilar Izquierdo, it reflects Chile’s varied landscapes and creates an impressive focal point for private events. The restaurant is the vision of owner Prenay Agarwal, who wanted to introduce London to Chilean cuisine, culture and design in a unique way.
Groups can enjoy seasonal set menus created by head chef Nicolas Einersen, a Chilean chef with a passion for Chilean and Scandinavian cooking. His private dining dishes showcase vibrant South American flavours with refined technique. Expect an evolving lineup that may include empanadas with fillings such as wagyu beef, lobster or winter greens or Chilean wagyu sliders with salsa verde. Larger plates could feature chalk stream trout or 45-day aged ribeye steak served with Carmenere and cream and sides like roast potatoes with brown butter and herbs or winter tomatoes with onion and citrus.
Desserts such as rice pudding empanada with quince and cinnamon or Ulmo honey flan with pecan and merken bring the meal to a charming close. Mareida also offers a thoughtful drinks list that includes South American wines and house cocktails. With its distinctive design, seasonal menus and warm hospitality, Mareida is an excellent choice for private dining in Fitzrovia.
