About Lore of the Land

A traditional British pub in the heart of Fitzrovia, Lore of the Land is an intimate and cosy place to host your next event, whether you’re meeting for a couple of drinks or planning a full blown party. Its traditional pub decor leads you to believe you’re in for that classic experience but don’t be fooled - the carefully curated menu is packed full of delicious meals that you might not expect at first glance. Fully decked out with wooden floors, walls and tables coupled with the hanging lights, Lore of the Land creates an intimate and ambient experience. Spread out across three floors, there are a number of options allowing you to tailor your event to meet your exact needs.

Available for private hire, you can book out the classically decorated Rhed Room for a secluded event. Hidden away on the top floor out of the pub, this option seats 24 for dinner or up to 30 for drinks, and contrasts the design of the first floor providing a more stylish dining experience. The room comes with its own bar serving up private drinks, as well as dining, for your event - choose from draught beer, premium spirits, seasonal spritz and an extensive wine list.

Dinner comes complete with a set menu for all the guests to enjoy and provides a vast collection of tasty food that allows guests to choose from nibbles, small plates, a main dish along with various sides and desserts. Enjoy British burrata with ancient grains and pickled salad, torched Cornish mackerel with a buttermilk dressing and fish of the day with purple sprouting broccoli. End the evening with a cardamom panna cotta or a selection of British cheeses complete with oat cakes, the house chutney and quince jelly.

A non - Private area in our main pub, this area can be for 40 -60 guests, it will be a standing reception, kitchen snacks and bar snacks will be available, these need to be pre ordered. Depending on group size and date, there will be a deposit and Minimum spend in place. We also book tables for smaller groups to sit down for drinks and snacks in the main pub.

Price Guarantee

Our Private Dining room, generally has a deposit of £500 with a minimum spend in place of £1000. (Not including service charge at 12.5%of your total bill) Please be aware during festive season and certain dates our pricing may vary.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon you can so we are able to make some room for other guests. If you cancel your booking and are able to give more than 72 hours’ notice before your booking, then your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel or attempt to reschedule your booking and are not able to give more than 72 hours’ notice before your booking for any reason, then your deposit will be retained in full.
