Found on the corner of Redchurch Street and Shoreditch High Street, Bao Noodle Shop is the first Bao restaurant that has veered away from the brand’s classic offering. While there are still buns – and plenty of them – here you’ll also find (you guessed it) hearty bowls of Taiwanese noodles which are handmade on site every day.
Whether you’re looking for a small and intimate private dining room for a handful of close friends or colleagues or want to go the whole hog and hire the entire restaurant, the options at Bao Noodle Shop for events are multi-faceted.
One of our favourite private dining spaces is the downstairs Karaoke room that ensures guests are not only fed and watered all night but also provided with some top-class entertainment watching their fellow diners belt out top-class tunes. With a capacity for 12 people, here you can choose from thousands of both Asian and Western songs and make full use of the deliberately kitsch disco lights. Elsewhere there’s an Entertainment Room which can accommodate 6-14 people and features a ‘call for service’ button as well as a 62-inch TV that comes with both music and movies access – perfect for more karaoke or even intimate film screenings. The upstairs Rare Dining Room is tucked around the back of the building for perfect privacy and can hold up to 24 while the entirety of the downstairs offers room for 50 (and includes access to a private bar, the karaoke and Entertainment Rooms). Interested in something bigger? The whole venue can play hosts to events of up to 150 people.
Whichever space you choose, you’ll be treated to some of London’s best Taiwanese food. The set feasting menu represents fantastic value for money with a mix of the team’s most popular dishes served on a sharing basis for £29 per person. Plates include noodle shop pickles, DIY chicken bao, Taipei style beef noodles and boiled Cull Yaw dumplings. Drinks too can be tailored to your event.
