If feasting on fluffy bao buns until your heart’s content with friends and family sounds like your idea of a great time, then why not book the private dining room at BAO Fitzrovia for your next occasion or celebration? The Taiwanese restaurant can be found on the corner of Windmill Street and offers private hire options for groups large and small.
Descend the stairs to the basement where you’ll find BAO Fitzrovia’s private dining room, a cosy space that can hold between 6-12 guests for intimate dinners. With a large marble table overlooking the open kitchen so that diners can watch chefs prepare its unique dishes, the space still offers plenty of buzz and personality despite being separate from the main restaurant floor.
There is a feasting menu available to guests who book the private dining room which includes a range of large-format sharing dishes inspired by the Ping Paan Platters in Taipei. The platters include a mix of meat and seafood to be enjoyed together, from beef cheek and tendon nuggets to whole grilled Yushiang sea bass, grilled chilli chicken and more. Finish on a high with the restaurant’s signature sweet bao: a deep-fried bun filled with cold Horlicks ice cream.
There is a short and sweet menu of wines on the drink's menu, plus plenty of sake, beers, whisky, cocktails, non-alcoholic creations and hot and cold teas. Why not try one of its signature drinks such as the Sweet Potato Sour made with gin, chestnut, sweet potato and lemon?
For larger parties, the entire venue can be hired for up to 47 people seated, which includes use of the main dining area, counter bar and basement. The venue can also be hired semi-exclusively for groups of up to 20 people.
